2 years ago, i stopped drawing for a while after landing a stable full-time job
i thought i could balance both my job and commission work on the side
but it turned out to be too much for my body to handle
i became stressed, missed deadlines, and had to cancel numerous commissions
eventually, i disappeared for a full two years
completely abandoning drawing and never picking up my pen again during that time
i grew to hate drawing and decided to solely focus on my job
however, in the past couple of days
i attempted to draw again. to my surprise, my skills seemed to have gone
i couldn't even draw something decent
despite that, i persisted in drawing every day
gradually, i rediscovered my love for drawing and remembered how enjoyable it can be
i realized that i had lost sight of what drew me to drawing in the first place - "to having fun"
for now
i've decided to stop going for commission work
instead, i just want to have fun again, drawing whatever that i like
and having fun drawing

if you get back to it even when the situation got real bad, then that's because no matter what you do or what happens you can't negate what you are, an artist. ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
