Understandable - though I don't hate them, I personally don't like them. You have to deprive yourself from sleeping properly (along other activities) to take care of them and make sure they don't get hurt with anything in the process, avoiding the fact of how expensive is maintaining one nowadays, taking into account all your other mensual expenses (food, water, gas, electricity, rent...) - it's just... too much.
I have nothing against with those who like babies/those who are planning who have babies at long term, but I'm fine with deciding of having none and living in peace without the mere thought of coping with one... and whatever comes next, when they grow up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
